Stunning interior and exterior with lots of facilities outside which really enhanced our holiday, such as the pizza oven and BBQ – not to mention the stunning pool and comfortable loungers. Food & Gastronomy
Olive oil, wild greens, cheese from the hills and whatever is in season: eating well is part of everyday life here.

Culture & Traditions
Centuries of history still shape daily life here, from Rethymno’s Old Town to the monasteries and village celebrations.
Spend the day among the island’s history, then come back to the quiet of your own house and pool.
Villages & Local Life
Away from the busy coast, villages keep their own rhythm: a kafeneio in the square, a bakery, neighbours who know each other.
The Skordilis family built their home in Asteri in 1955. Ask Argyris where to go; he knows the places the guidebooks leave out.
Nature & Discovery
From the sandy north coast to the coves of the south and the villages under Psiloritis, the landscape changes within a day’s drive.
Plan your days out from a private base near Rethymno, with time for the pool when you return.
Family & Togetherness
Some of the best holiday moments are the simplest: breakfast together, a day somewhere new, an evening around the outdoor table.
Each villa is a whole house with its own pool. For larger groups, MAZI brings together three neighbouring villas in Asteri.
Rest & Restore
Some trips are not about seeing more: a long breakfast outside, a swim before the day warms up, evenings with nowhere to be.
Each villa is a whole house with its own pool and garden. Stay a week or longer and the days find their own rhythm.
