The right villa depends on more than your dates and the number of bedrooms.
It depends on who’s coming, how you like to spend your days, whether you prefer village life or somewhere more private near the coast, how the bedrooms work, and what matters most to your group.
Amazing Villas in Crete is an owner-managed collection of private villas near Rethymno, Crete. When you book direct, I’ll talk you through the differences between the villas and help you pick the one that really fits.
Ask Argyris before you book — because the right villa depends on your group, not only on dates and bedrooms.

Booking directly with Amazing Villas in Crete is not simply a way to complete a reservation online.
It’s the chance to talk to me before you book: ask the questions that matter to your group, understand how the villas really differ, and choose with confidence.
A villa can look right in photographs. Whether it is the right match for your group is a different question. That is what a direct conversation with Argyris is for.
Each villa in the Amazing Villas in Crete collection has its own character, layout and setting.
Villa Asteri and Villa Myrrini are both in Asteri Village and suit different group sizes and layouts. Villa Kitron, also in Asteri Village, has three bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom and a large first-floor veranda. Villa Argiris is in Stavromenos, in a more private setting near the coast with panoramic sea views.
Tell me who’s coming, what matters most and how you picture your days. I’ll explain how the villas differ and point you to the one that suits you best.
This tends to be especially useful for:
The aim is to help you choose the villa that suits your group, not simply the first available option.
Or look for yourself: compare the villas · which villa fits your stay

Villa Argiris · StavromenosWhen you book directly, you can ask detailed questions about the villa before confirming your stay.
This may include the bedroom arrangement, internal or external steps, pool layout, nearby amenities, distances, arrival logistics or anything else that may affect your group.
Where a detail needs to be checked, we will check it rather than give you a generic answer.
When you book directly with Amazing Villas in Crete, the Cretan Breakfast Basket is included free of charge for all villas and all dates.
It’s a welcome of local food for your first morning in Crete: Cretan olive oil, cheese, olives, bread, paximadi, jam, seasonal fruit and herbs. We put it together for your stay, so the quantities depend on how long you’re staying and how many of you there are.
No prior request or minimum stay is required.
Amazing Villas in Crete is a small, owner-managed collection. Booking directly means you know who you are speaking with from the first message.
Before you book and while planning your stay and arrival, you can communicate directly with Argyris.
Argyris Skordilis · Owner and host
Because Amazing Villas in Crete is based in the area, the guidance you receive reflects the actual setting of each villa rather than a standard list sent to every guest.
Argyris can help you think through:
Understand the practical differences between the villas before you book.
Get clear answers about layouts, steps, pools, location and arrival planning.
Every direct booking includes the Cretan Breakfast Basket free of charge.
You pay by card, on the payment page of our booking engine — the same system that holds the availability. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. Your card details go to the booking engine, not to us.
We will never ask you to pay by bank transfer, and we will never ask for your card number by email or message. If anyone writes to you in our name asking for a transfer, it is not us. Tell Argyris.
The price you are shown already includes VAT, the Cretan Breakfast Basket, linen and towels. There is no cleaning fee, no service fee and no booking fee. The one sum handed over separately is the Greek government climate resilience fee (€15 per night from April to October, €4 from November to March) — it is already inside the price you see, you pay it at the villa during your stay, not with the deposit, and if you do not arrive it is not charged.
The deposit, the date the balance is due and the cancellation terms for your dates are shown by the booking engine before you confirm, and repeated in your confirmation email. Read them there rather than assume — they are part of what you are agreeing to.
Travel insurance is worth having this far from home, especially for a group, where one person’s change of plan affects everyone. We don’t sell it and earn nothing from it; the choice of provider is yours.
You do not need to decide only from photographs and bedroom counts.
