The house · Villa Myrrini

One level, a timber ceiling and a garden of orange trees

Villa Myrrini was once a farm building on the family’s land. In 2002 it was rebuilt as a single-level home, with stone walls and details and a high timber ceiling with exposed beams over the living room. Orange trees and banana plants fill the garden, and from the covered veranda the view runs over the olive groves to the sea.

A quiet house on one level, 90 m from Villa Asteri: close to the others, private on its own.

“Idyllic, peaceful and extremely private.”— Jonny, guest, August 2024

“Everything was perfect. The house was beautiful, spotless, comfortable and incredibly well equipped … it really felt like a home rather than just a rental. … One of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had, and we’ve had a lot.”
Ran · Tel Aviv · Airbnb ★★★★★ · August 2026
“It was within walking distance from a few local restaurants and shops, it was clean and cozy, and Argyris clearly puts effort into making it feel luxurious with beautiful flowers and greenery around the property and particularly the pool area. … When I needed to change some plans last minute and needed help finding a taxi service, Argyris arranged one for me!”
Sarah · Cleveland, Ohio · Airbnb ★★★★★ · August 2026
“Beautiful place with lovely view of the pool and ocean from the balcony terrace, beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean, kitchen was more than what we needed with plenty of room for the 5 of us. … The private pool was gorgeous and we absolutely made the most of it during our stay.”
George · Airbnb ★★★★★ · June 2026
“The pool and the terrace are a dream, and so are the views, all surrounded by olive trees. … And best of all are Argyris’s recommendations.”

Location and getting here

How far is it from the beach, Rethymno and the airports?

The nearest beaches are approx. 3 km away, Rethymno Old Town approx. 12 km (about 15 minutes), Heraklion airport approx. 73 km (around an hour) and Chania airport approx. 79 km (around 75 minutes) by car. A car is recommended; without one, the KTEL bus to Stavromenos and Rethymno town stops outside the villas in Asteri and Argyris can book taxis.

How far is Villa Myrrini from Villa Asteri and Villa Kitron?

Approximately 60 metres from Villa Kitron and 90 metres from Villa Asteri, on foot. The three villas can be booked together as MAZI for up to 20 guests.

Booking and extras

How much does Villa Myrrini cost per night?

€205–450 per night for the whole villa, depending on season and length of stay. Check your dates for the exact price.

Is breakfast included?

Direct bookings include a Breakfast Basket with local products from small Cretan producers. A private chef can also be arranged on request.

Is Villa Myrrini cleaned during the stay?

Yes, for stays of 6 nights or more: one clean during a 6- or 7-night stay, and more for longer stays, with three cleans in two weeks. Bed linen and towels are changed at each clean.

Are there any taxes or fees on top of the price?

The price you see is the full price: it includes VAT and the Greek government climate resilience fee (€15 per night from April to October, €4 from November to March). Everything is paid online except the climate resilience fee, which by law is paid at the villa during your stay, not with the deposit.

How do you pay?

By card, on the payment page of our booking engine — Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted, and your card details go to the booking engine rather than to us. We will never ask you to pay by bank transfer, and we will never ask for a card number by email or message. The deposit, the balance date and the cancellation terms for your dates are shown before you confirm and repeated in your confirmation email.

What is the cancellation policy?

It depends on the rate you choose and the season. The booking engine shows the exact cancellation and payment terms for your dates before you pay. Booking direct also gives you one free date change, and you can transfer the booking to friends. The full terms are on our Terms page.

Are pets allowed at Villa Myrrini?

Pets are welcome on request. Please ask Argyris before booking, so he can confirm for your dates.

Can we book a wine or olive oil tasting at the villa?

Yes. Both tastings can be arranged on request during your stay.
