This statement is about this website. If you are looking for what the houses themselves are like to move around in — steps, bathrooms, the walk from the car — that is on each villa page, and the short answer is below.
What we are aiming for
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA — the standard European law points to for websites and the services sold through them.
We are a microenterprise: a family with four houses. Under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, in Greece Law 4994/2022) service providers with fewer than ten people are exempt from its requirements, so this statement is not something we owe you. We publish it because a guest who cannot read the page cannot book the house, and that is our problem, not theirs.
Where we stand
Every page of this site is tested automatically against the WCAG rules before it is published, and the pages currently pass with no errors reported. Automatic testing catches a large part of the problem but not all of it, so this statement says “largely conformant”, not “perfect”.
What we do on every page:
- Text and background colours are chosen to stay readable, and we check the contrast rather than guess it.
- Every photograph carries a description for screen readers, written from the caption for that particular photograph rather than produced from a file name.
- The site can be used with a keyboard alone: menus, photo viewers, forms and the booking box all take focus in a sensible order, and the focus is visible.
- Each page has one main heading and is divided by headings, so a screen reader can jump through a page instead of reading all of it.
- Buttons and links are large enough to hit on a phone, and the site works at phone width without side-scrolling.
- Some photos and short video clips move on their own, always without sound. Each slideshow and video has a pause button, and they stay still if your device is set to reduce motion. Nothing flashes.
- Forms have real labels, and an error tells you what to do about it.
Known limitations
- The booking engine. Availability, prices and payment are handled by WebHotelier, on their own pages. We do not control their accessibility. If you cannot use it, write to Argyris and the booking can be made for you by email or WhatsApp.
- Maps. Google Maps is embedded only after you allow it. Maps are hard to use without sight; every map on this site is accompanied by the address, the coordinates and the driving distances in text.
- Photographs of the villas. The descriptions say what is in the photograph. They cannot fully replace seeing the space, so if the layout of a house matters to you, ask Argyris and he will describe it, send more photographs or answer specific questions.
- Floor plans. The floor plans on the Villa Kitron page are images. The villa page describes the rooms in text; if you need more, ask and we will write it out.
The villas themselves
None of the four villas is wheelchair accessible, and we do not describe any of them as step-free. Villa Myrrini and Villa Argiris have their living space and all bedrooms on one level and are the easiest to move around in. Every villa page states the steps, the floors and where the bedrooms are. If someone in your group finds stairs difficult, write to Argyris before you book: he will tell you honestly which house works and which does not.
If something on this site does not work for you

Argyris usually replies within 12 hours. Please say which page you were on and what happened. If you are not satisfied with our answer, the Contact and Complaints page explains what to do next.
How this statement was prepared
By self-assessment: automated testing of every page against WCAG 2.2 AA, plus manual keyboard checks of the parts guests use most — the villa pages, the photo viewer, the booking box and the contact form. It has not been tested with a screen reader by a person who uses one daily, and it has not been audited by an outside body. It is reviewed whenever the site changes substantially.
